Default MSD BAP, Where can I find one?

Ok, none of the distributors (HWS, SPDINC, SUMMIT, etc) sell this boost-a-pump, or at least, I can't find it on their sites.

I had seen a link through a reacetronix ad to it, but haven't been able to find it since.

Also, is there any reason that I should consider the Kenne Belle unit? Thanks for your time.

KB maxes around 17.5V which is the most you should. LPE uses KB on all their set-ups.....that's enough for me.

So then, I got the racetronix pump and harness, which BAP...

The Kenne Bell comes in 40amp and 20amp versions.... Since the harness maxxes at 40, they wouldn't overbuild it that much (2x current) ... I'm guessing I need the 40amp version right? I mean, (don't know you guys backgrounds) the amount of current consumed is a function of the voltage and the perceived load. If the pump needs more than 20A at rated voltage, it will get it from the DC2DC convertor by dropping the voltage (total comsumed power is maxxed)...

RACETRONIX GUY, which do you use?

Thanks but.... the actual link behind the text is truncated just like the text, so it 404s back to their main page.

Sorry to bother, but if you copied the link as text, could you perhaps copy the link target instead.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm seriously frustrated.

Thunder MSD P/N 17-2350 is all you need for a boosted applciation.
The MSD unit is best for 7+ PSI systems.
THe KB 20A unit is good for instant-on applications such as N2O.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

So, (I know it depends on alot of variables) but what is a safe max voltage for your pump?

Also you say the MSD is best for 7+PSI.... Is that a typo or are you referring to boost levels? I am looking at 14psi through an FMIC and progressive meth.

Thanks again.

Set the BAP for apx. 17V out under max boost.
The MSD unit requires a fair amount of manifold pressure in order to ramp its voltage output due to its limited gain control. FI systems running under 7 PSI of boost do not allow the MSD to produce enough voltage output.

I am/was runnig the MSD BAP and I got it from Summit just call them. I only put out 7LBS, but MSD's instructions say that 5 PSI will max it out. Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in there. Oh by the way I am selling mine if you want to save a little money.
