Handyman Special: CHEAP DirectFlo Lid Had the car on the lift the other night and was shaking the motor to get the bellhousing off, and when we lowered the car down I noticed this:
EASY FIX for someone with a few spare minutes and a little bit of know how. Unfortunately I'm very mechanically inept, so my loss is your gain. You can make this lid stronger than it was when new! I ran this lid as it is pictured for a week with no problems, but I would suggest trying to fix it.
The lid is in perfect condition except for the cracked off piece (pictured above) and a teeny smudge on top where the hood hits it (almost all lids do this).
The DirectFlo Lid from LS1motorsports (later known as Quartermile Performance) is no longer being produced, therefore it is VERY hard to get ahold of! There are many people that swear this is one of the BEST lids out for LS1s.
