Default 1st Gen Camaro Ls1/t56 swap, what do I need?

i've seen a few different things, so for those with experience, please help me out.

Engine, obviously
Transmission, obviously
Notched oil pan
Motor mount plates
Wiring harness (don't know if it's better to rework the stock, or get a new one)
Steering (This is one thing I really don't understand, the BRP mounts I think change the layout enough that it's necessary to get a new steering setup... which one, I don't know.. I'd likely go with S&P since that's one less thing I'll have to mess with)
Fuel (again, can I just do a stock style system, or is there a better/cheaper way to do it?)
Tranny mounts/ crossmember
Exhaust manifold
Driveshaft

I think the ls1 power steering pump should work from what I've read.
AC, I don't really care about.
Brake stuff, I'll tackle when I get to it.
What is the best way to do the clutch setup?

Thanks for the help,
-Matt

The best way to do the clutch set up in these is get the BMR crossmember kit, it comes with the mount for the slave and it bolts under your master, (works great) as for the harness personally the painless one works great, I have done several of these with no issues, for your fuel system use a Walbro inline pump you can modify your fuel rail and run a return line back..if you have any questions fell free to ask!!

First try a search on this topic and get ready for a few hours of reading.

Here's a couple of threads that may help:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/342280-1st-gen-camaro-ls1-swap-parts-list.html

http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10890

Try these sites for some of the conversion parts:
www.hotrodlane.cc
www.brphotrods.com
www.tennesseeauto.com
www.t56kit.com

Also there are guys on: www.lateral-g.net and www.pro-touring.com that have done these swaps.

Rybar, thanks for that link to the ls1tech thread, I had searched but hadn't seen that one! I'd read the one on PT, but it wasn't what I was looking for. I plan on doing a really killer write up on the various phases of my project with some trick pdfs... sadly I'm a better geek than a wrench. But I know I'll be picking your brain, and satistractions more in the months to come.

Barry, thanks for the insight, I'll certainly look into that.

Thanks guys,
-Matt
