2009 Camaro? Where is it?
Why does GM keep embargoing stuff? This pisses me off. I have been waiting for this day for a long time, and those guys go and embargo the pictures, screw them!!! Who cares if we know, if they want us to buy cars they should give us some crumbs!!!

You can thank Enron & MCI/WorldCom for that. Because of those two spectacular failures, the U.S. Congress passed the Sarbanes/Oxley law. If GM published the pictures, the directors and officers of GM could be held PERSONALLY responsible and go to jail -- do not collect $200 and get out of jail free card.

Perhaps we can use this opportunity to forge a stronger relationship with the general.
Scott et al, let me know if I can get some press passes and I'll cover the the GM cars on behalf of the site.

Please take this as our sincere apology that the images were posted on the site. We didn't think they were any different from the dozens of other renderings or concepts floating around the net, they obviously weren't of a completed car or anything.
You won't find a larger group of diehard GM enthusiasts than the people on this site, I think we were just excited to see something potentially in the works. With all the speculation about GM doing a release in January, we have been anticipating any sort of hint or 'crumb' to fall off the table.
Sorry for any problems caused by us posting the pics, we didn't do this to cause any harm to GM. If we were a Ford based site, you could assume that was the case. We are glad to see something in the works, thanks GM.

Your "site" just published CONFIDENTIAL, STOLEN photos...and then put your OWN watermarks on them as if YOU owned them!?!?
You even told the world (including GM security) how you got them!?!?
This site will be lucky if you're not sued....at the very least I think it's a heck of a bad time to be asking for handouts from GM....
BTW, Just so you know who this is, I'm Doug Harden, VP CICC....no secrets from me.

we only put our watermarks on them so that we could track if other sites attempted to cross-link them off of our server. There was nothing on those images that said "GM". We figured other sites and magazines got the same photos we did, and they might have. I guess we were just the first to post them. Keep a lookout, there might be other sites/magazines that will display them too.
We have worked with GM security on a few issues in the past, and we always work with them and try and help them. I don't think you will find anyone at GM that thought of us as a threat to them. On the original thread, I even posted my own email address and asked if there was any problem with them being posted that GM (or anyone) could feel free to email me and I'd remove them. They emailed, I removed them.

Scott Settlemire and I have chatted back and forth via email today. I understand now why he is angry about this, and it was just poor judgement on our part. He knows we wouldn't do this to intentionally cause any harm. I guess we can all just wait until next month. I'll be the first in line to buy the next Camaro, its been a long wait.
