unlikely, in the 2 years we have been selling our product about 8 people have emailed us and about 4 of those just to check before they did remove the MAF. Email me your file and i'll take a look at it if you like. I have seen it on a couple of 00's but never on an '01.

Were these changed in the table that determines if the PCM will command full/high transmission line pressure based on the DTC?

Thanks

John

I think its in the code and not in the software. Maybe he can tell us which portion to check/change? Or offer up a couple of *.Bins that we can compare in a editor and do ourselves?

Chris...
If it was just my car, that wouldn't be a problem. Under the circumstances, I will have to steer away from SD tunes on A4s until I can be sure I will be able take care of that, since I have seen it happen on several different cars. They are looking into it over on the EFILive site.

send me the file if you want me to look at it. There is another table that can give you not full line pressure but a line pressure bias of around 30 PSI.

Is it possible that after i have tuned my car in SD to calibrate my MAF and reconnect it. And would the load calculations that the PCM does be right? or will the line pressure be off since i have changed the MAF table?

Just to let people know, this is now an option with EFI Live. You can now go into the tune and adjust for the line pressure.

Jeez just send Chris@hpt your file and he'll correct it for you. I did that when I converted to SD and it took him less than a day to get the fixed file back to me....and yes my car is a 98. Car shifts great.

support@hptuners.com is the email

PS thank you Chris, for the quick turnaround on my file

Glad HPT offers this lil service to its customers

He already "fixed" it for like a year ago... I´d just want to know what he changes and wy we can´t get the option?

And i also like to know the answer to my earlier question...
"Is it possible that after i have tuned my car in SD to calibrate my MAF and reconnect it. And would the load calculations that the PCM does be right? or will the line pressure be off since i have changed the MAF table?"

The original poster is a EFILive user, so we can't just send the file to chris. For Live customers it is now an option to turn this off if need be.

Sending your file in to Chris might be an option for DIYers. But that is not an option for me. Glad I also EFI Flash/Scan for my A4 customers.

Here is an idea... Chris, why don't you make available files for 98,99,00,01 that people can download with the fix. All they have to do is add their VIN and they are all set. Would eliminate a lot of the hassle IMO.
