Can you use stock springs with this cam? I'm not sure what stock LS1 springs can handle.

No you cannot. Basically if you are using any aftermarket cam you'll need to swap out your springs.

Does this cam require the slightly longer pushrods? I thought 7.4 was the standard length?

7.4 (7.395) is the stock length Many, many people use the stock lenth pushrods and rely on the lifter to compensate whatever difference there is between the stock cams base circle and the aftermarkets base circle and it will work but wont be correct. If you dont check to make sure the valvetrain geometry is correct it will be noisier, premature wear, ect.... In my case my valve train noise was a little on the loud side so I got a push rod length checker from TSP and bought these Pushrods to quiet it down and bring everything back in line.

Not to sure? I honestly dont have any experience with the smaller LSx motors but Its an extremely popular cam with the LS1/ls6 crowd.

I'm going to St. Louis right now to buy a '98 Formula, and will be back on Sunday. I can have the $ to you at the start of next week - I want this cam.
