Default 72 Chevelle / 6.0L / 4L80E / pt76

I've been doing alot of ing for a while and figured it was time to show what I've been working on. The setup description should be in my sig but here are a few pics:

The piping is kinda close to the alternator so heat may be an issue but I'll probably thermal coat or wrap to help this out. It's just tacked up for now, need to find someone to tig weld everything so it looks nice (my welding skills suck but getting better). Need to add wastegate, intercooler and piping and a few (many) other things and hopefully well be running in a few months.

Are you using a stock LQ9 and 4L80E?

What kind of boost/hp levels are you shooting for?

Looks like a recipe for alot of fun!

The engine and trans are stock for now, just wanted to get things together and running before really tweaking the stock parts. I'm shooting for about 10psi w/ an a2a intercooler and about 550-600fwhp.

Cool Turbo Chevelle........

I think it looks like a really nice setup. You say your welding skills are lacking, well I think your fab skills look great. Good welding = practice, practice, practice, and more practice. Good Luck!

Did you bend the exhaust pipe yourself or did you buy the bends if you did where did you pick them up at? BTW it looks pretty good you'll have to post some more pics when you get it all welded together.

Looks great man! That is what I have planned for my 69 Chevelle, except I want to go with a T-56. Hopefully you'll have yours up and running soon! Keep us updated!

Looks great. Those are the stock 5.3/6.0 manifolds right? Is plug access still good?

Default I thought I was alone

This is really weird Guys I'm doing the same thing with my 70 chevelle. I'm like TT402LS1 I'm not as far because I'm going from the ground up coating the frame knew suspension parts monte carlo front disc brakes. I do have a question thoght how did you mount your engine I looking for some Ideas. However I didn't think about turboing mine. How much did your turbo setup cost you, I might try that now.

The bends and the flex section are from stainlessworks.net. They are all 304 stainless .065" thickness (16 ga?). The manifolds are the stock 6.0 manifolds flipped forward. Plug access is still pretty good, but I have to figure out how I'm going to route the plug wires. Not sure on the cost of the system, I think I've got about 1800 into the whole turbo setup (turbo, hot side piping, intercooler, wastegate, bov...). I taked about the swap a little in this post: http://www.pacificp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2121 . Let me know if you want more details. Thanks for the compliments!
