Default Which 28" tire to get???

Ok, I posted before about getting some 28" tires to help offset the lack of traction when launching off the Transbrake, and nitrous....the 26" dont agree to much with that kine of abuse. Theres seems to be a couple different compounds, not sure the pro's & con's, and then some different widths. Thanks.

From: Gainesville, Florida # of drag strips runs: ?!?!?

I just switched to a M/T ET Drag 28 x 10.5 stiff sidewall slick, and have had great success so far. I have a few friends running this same tire with one cutting a 1.36 60 foot on spray recently. Granted this is on a leaf-spring car, but we bracket race so consistency is a big deal and these seem to work good! Good review of the tire Derek, thanks for linking me over. Guess I'll be checking them out, my Bogart Rear Wheels will be here Thursday, and fronts sometime after that. Cant wait to see how the 28" hold up.

Both.

I have a set of them lying around that I won't be using. My guess is that they will hook about as good as a 28W.

Well, I wanted to get the 672-3055S (28x10.5x15 stiffwall) but none on island, so I settled with regular 28x10.5's. Our track is scheduled to close 31 March 2006, so, had to settle for second best, and I am sure these will hook better then the 26" coming off the transbrake with nitrous. Hopefully will report back Sat night.
