Thumbs up FS: Alpine SPS-170A speakers and Alpine tweeters

The speakers and tweeters were removed in full working order from my TA last Sunday to replace them with Infinity equipment while upgrading the whole system.

The speakers were originally installed by Rogue Leader (I recently bought the car from him), as he described in this thread.

The same speakers can also be used on Camaros to replace te crappy Monsoon stuff. There is a thread about that here.

Asking $50 shipped to anywhere in the lower 48 states.

Post here, PM or email me.

TS

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. And thanks for your insight. I guess...

As far as I know, these speakers have been on this car for 2.5 years and are still working properly. I also had these same speakers for over a year and a half in my 2000 Z28 and they were still working properly when I sold the car.

sgt0704: I'm still waiting to hear back from MN6WS6. I'll hold them for him. But not for too long.

I have had these speakers in 2 cars, for the money they cannot be beaten period. If you blew them you may have gotten a rare bad set or had an installation \amp problem.

Yep, currently have 3 sets of these in various F-bodies and no problems. Very good bang for the buck. If I had another place to use them I'd be all over these.

Just out of curiosity - those pics show a set of coax speakers that include what appears to be a tweeter built in - and then yet another set of tweeters wired to the first?????????

Doesn't this setup now have (2) sets of tweeters? Why would you want this - why not just go with a set of component speakers to replace the front door speakers in a T/A?
