Default Power antenna motor

Do aftermarket power antenna motors work with our cars?

If not....

WTB: the circuit board that goes inside the power antenna motor. or the whole assembly. It does not have the have the mast. Thanks

I was cleaning out my garage and I have one for sale. Complete assembly was working fine when removed - $20 plus shipping.

You could just get a shorter antenna and ditch the whole thing together. Let me know if you are trying to sell the broken assembly I can fix these things.

I mean I can prolly fix it, its just a few gears and a circuit board with two resistors and a relay.....GM doesn't really make it to be servicable, but just like the headlight gear/motor fix, u can get it apart and put it back together.

But if you want to go the cheap route...just unscrew the the two screws holding the motor(the gold colored cylinder) into the black gearbox and gently pull it up enough so you can push the antenna back down into the gearbox assembly and not have to worry about it.

It sounds like either the track on the antenna is stripped/broken, a gear is stripped/broken or the relay that makes the motor go into reverse is messed up (or some other problem with the circuit).

If you hear the motor after you turn off the radio, then its just something with the gears in there.
