Custom dual exhaust - over axle
Here are some pics, and explanation below:
NOTE: The system isn't hooked up to the headers in these pics, so it is hanging lower than it does when connected. It doesn't actually rest on anything, and the random band clamp is just slid back off of the header collector.

In one picture there is a shot of a bung welded in in case you want to hook up a wideband o2 sensor.
The dark spot you see on the area that goes over the rear is some oil/dirt.
The random band clamp is just hanging there because I disconnected from the headers. The headers were ceramic pacesetters (longtubes).
I don't believe the system is stainless steel - I think that would make it pretty tough to weld. It literally had less than 1000 on it before I had to sell the car (kid was born).
This system also clears the driveshaft loop.
The ground clearance is greater than the stock exhaust w/Y-pipe. It took a ton of time for my shop to make this because I wanted max clearance with true duals *over* the axle. Needless to say - just the portion that I am selling (everything except the headers) cost over $1700 in labor. There is about $500 in parts with the X-pipe, 2 magnaflow cans, and dual-wall chrome tips.
I will sell this for $500 and we split the shipping cost 50/50. Check my seller feedback on this board.
I plan to ship the exhaust in 3 major portions:
1. From header collector area to just past the x-pipe.
2. From behind the x-pipe back to the axle.
3. From the axle to the tips
I didn't clean up the tips or anything, but they are new chrome with about 1k miles - so they'll dust off nicely.
I should also note that *in the pictures* the exhaust is actually hanging about an inch to an inch and a half lower than usual because it isn't connected to the headers at this time. Like I said, ground clearance is actually about an inch greater than stock (where the y-pipe would be).

It is 2.5" piping with 3.5" chrome insulated tips and dual magnaflow mufflers.
The sound at idle is nice and deep, *really* quiet on the freeway (because it exits out the rear) and decently loud at WOT. It is not "loudmouth" loud - but more "muscle car" - the way duals should be.

Yeah i told 'soslo' to consider it sold earlier this afternoon, so hopefully that means this exhaust is mine- thanks guys
Sorry for the drama guys. Strugill, I apologize to you. qwikz28 has already paid for it. Honestly, I didn't know if you were serious as you had 0 posts and I was going to have to wait on you til tonight.
qwik - I received the payment, thank you.
Again, sorry for a sour first experience from this board sturgil. I've sold lots of parts on here and typically (not always) the brand new members are 'looking' more than buying.

Again, sorry for the drama guys - like I said, I've sold quite a few parts on here, and quik sent the money first. I've 'reserved' parts only to have the buyer back out the next day. Ultimately, I don't really care who buys the parts, just that they are bought.
So, if you and qwik want to work out a deal, that is fine with me, but at this point, qwik has paid me for the parts, and the parts are his.
As to our conversion, here it is:
Sorry - I don't have any sound clips.
Thanks,
Aaron
As you can see, I didn't say anything reserving the parts for you. I got about 20 PMs today from the exhaust and the line lock - most people are just looking.

hi i just sent you a pm about the exhaust- i had one more question- i was wondering if their was any fitment issues with stock suspension or anything like that- or anything that would be a concern, my car is not lowered and has all stock suspension- if all is good i can paypal you the funds or whatever works - thanks casey
well frosty you may be right but i sure thought i was making myself clear by saying i would consider this exhaust sold and i can paypal you the funds-
It was definatley a gray area and the seller probably jumped the gun but I know I've been burnt in the past with tire kickers. Unless someone types out I want it, where do I send the $ I still look at it as being for sale still.
You were still asking questions about it, nothing was set in stone. Like I said the seller probably jumped the gun but there was a definate gray area there.
