Default LS1 coil pack control pin driver

Finally found this thread with the info I needed about the pinouts:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/471900-ls1-coil-pack-pinouts.html

Regarding the +5V control pin on the packs:

My processor has 3.3V TTL outputs. Can I just use this? It's basic, cheap, and easy (especially since I already have these parts "in stock" here at my apartment), and if it will work fine I'll go with it. Basically I need to know whether or not the 5V control is completely isolated from the coil inductance :dunno:

Edit: I labelled that pin in a hurry; obviously I meant uP_Coil_Out

Each coil has its own internal module that grounds the primary coil to trigger the igntion event. The 5v input triggers the module to control the coil.
It is seperate from the primary circuit thru the module if thats what you mean?

That's what I gathered from the other thread.

What I'm asking here is whether or not it's safe to use a simple circuit like I posted to drive the 5V control line from my processor. The processor output is 3.3V high, 0V low (grounded), and the max source/sink current is 5mA. Max operating voltage on the processor terminals is -0.5 to 5.5V.
