I have used 918 for sale, about 3k miles on them, sitting on my floor. Throw out a price and I will sell them, they are like new, one day of T&T at Bandimere and they worked good.

Plus, I can help and od any of that install you are talking about. Gimme a shout Greggy.

it was the "non blue striped" 918's that had an issue with breaking a few years back...

Greg, I have the blue striped 918's I bought about a year back. They are not the famed springs you talk of.

Let me know.

Mmm, interesting thought, But I am not so hot on rolling and cutting my quarters to make these wheels work anymore. I am fine where there at, as sad as that is, but hey, it's only a Corvette wheel . If you want them back I can for sure get them back to you whenever you say so.

The springs need to go for cold, hard cash. We can work something out, I'm sure.

Do the LS2 chain for peace of mind. I wouldn't touch your Oil pump, the "LS6" pump is no differnet than a LS1pump, all they do is port it, which is, contrary to belief, not a benefit. All it does is decrease your oil pressure and increase flow, which doesen't help at the higher RPM's the cam will spin. No pressure = No more bearings.

that makes sense... i dont think i'd need it much anyways with a 228/232, unlike chris' fatass ms3

i'll talk to my GM parts guy and get a ls2 chain for the hell of it.

so heres my list:

cam - on its way
918 springs - booth
hardened pushrods
ls2 timing chain
gaskets

Sounds like a fun weekend to me. Should be all you need for a basic swap. That's all I did for my first camswap, and it worked better than my second headswap by far.

Welcome to the cammd club. Now all you need is a blue bottle on top of that. Will make sure OMR stays in the rear view mirror.

so the cam guru in the internals section suggests i get the ls2 chain, and ls6 oil pump but not ported... because i have a 98 and i guess 98's suck at everything.
