Check the codes inside the drivers door. Should be GU3 I believe.

 

dose this come with the oil and posi fluid and stud kit too?

 

Traction control + abs = 4 channel
ABS only = 3 channel

 

Next in line but would only need the gears... have a cover and the rear only has like 30k miles on it so I doubt it needs bearings, just shims.

 

This does include the fluid and posi additive. No stud kit.

 

As long as your original gears are 3.23 or higher, you will have a 3 series carrier.

 

what fluid do you have with it?

 

Redline 75w90 gear oil and GM posi additive.

 

I've never worked on a rear end except to change the fluid, is this something I could do myself with basic handtools or am I gonna need to have it done by a shop with presses and whatnot?

 

I have a 2000 SS with ASR, is that a 3-series? I really want that package!
