Why do you want to get rid of the intake for the ls6 intake? Reasons.....

 

I plan on pulling the intake on and off a bit in the near future, and don't want to have to make gaskets for it everytime. May be a stupid reason, but that is it.

Also, I don't know if I like the shiny look now, it sticks out a bit under the hood. I could paint it, but it would be easier just to get a black intake, and I wouldn't have to maintain that paint.
