Is the Rack the same for LT1's as it is for LS1's?

Default Is the Rack the same for LT1's as it is for LS1's?

They are the same width,and everything but the steering shaft is located differnet on a ls1 than a lt1 rack(the steering wheel will be a off).I plan to switch racks and go to a ls1 steering shaft.

Thats Too Bad - I have a Bran NEW lt1 Rack and a leaking SL1 car/rack. It would have Bin nice to NOT have to Buy another. O well - Thanks for the reply man! Lata, CDC

The LS1 rack points the steering shaft more to the rear, and more to the driver's side.

An LT1 rack will put the steering shaft into the #1 exhaust tube and interferes with the back of the alternator too. You can notch the plastic shield on the back of the alternator (and tweak the p/s lines a little too), but you can't easily fix the exhaust clearance problem. (been there...)
