Default LS1 Lid under Stock Camaro Hood

Got it finally...
For who that asked, here are the pictures. It clears by about 1/4 to 1/2 inch from the Hood with this setup. I had to cut a little out of the bottom of it.
To be honest, unless you have the patience, this is a pain in the *** project. The plastic on some of the pieces decided to break, so that had to be fixed as well as setting all of it up. It is just alot of little stuff that had to be done, but it all clears. The Radiator was set back a couple of inches, that is the key to getting this in one of our cars. Anyone with the Ram-Air Hoods have no problem with the actual LS1 Radiator shrouds, but for the Stock Hoods, you have to move the Radiator back.
The Hood is Red, eventhough the pic shows like it's purple.

SLP Bellow for Ram-Air Fire Bird. I cut it up in the front of it about 3/4 inch shorter.

I cut out the cross-support as wide as the Lid, you can see it where the Lid sits up against. It's cut to where it rests in there. Then I did a little trimming on top of the Radiator. It clears the stock Hood no problem, and it sounds like a jet in the front of it, it's loud. It still pulls hard, in 3rd it will suck you into the seat, and that was at a 3500RPM punch. It pulls all the way up to 6100RPM where it shifts.

SLP Lid will work on my setup, I wanted an SS Hood, but this works. The SS Hood will be close, if not too tight of a fit.
That's Stainless Steel, good stuff
It brightens up the Engine Bay a little bit..

What hole? That's part of the under-structure cut out of it, there is no more hole in it anymore. Looks like a bone stock LT1 Camaro now.

That Lid there is the Granatelli Lid. All of the aftermarket ones are all the same, and will fit no problem.

hey man i got a couple of questions.

How do you get the lid off now? Do you undo the sheet metal

Whats the clearance like now with the radiator & fans?? How far do they sit away from hoses & the waterpump and are there any cooling issues with it sitting back futher?

Did you use anything different to direct the air up into the lid?

Last can you take the lid off and post some pics of what it looks like underneath and how much cutting had to be done?

Thanks for the help im interested about doing this on my LT1 as well.
