Default Shifter Boot Support

My shifter boot support. (the plastic peice that goes around the inside of the center counsole holding the boot to it) was already broken when i installed my 5.0 Shifter. The toolbag that replaced the shifter stick broke it first and did a shotty job of hot glueing it back together. Anyone know where I can get a new one? Can I buy it by itself? A part number? Anything would help. Thanks.

Please do not buy an OEM replacement... they are pieces of ****. Spend the $18 on this:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/426474-look-no-further-shift-boot-clip.html

I bought one for my car because I was in the same boat... previous owner busted it and rigged it up so it would sit in there correctly. I bought one from Farmer and it is awesome. I've taken it off and put it back on probably 7 times or so and it is amazing. I have not had any issues since.

WOW 98ws61le tell me where your finding it for 10 bucks. not trying to sound like a smart *** but I checked with a local gm dealer and the ring by itself is 48 bucks. If you can let me know I'd greatly appreciate it to cause mines shot and I don't feel like spending that much on a simple piece of plastic.

You don't need to post in the thread... just PM Farmer and let him know what you need.

48 bucks is the boot and the retainer ring.

to everyone in here, dont waste your money on another plastic POS from GM. get a metal one from farmer2. best 18 bucks you will ever spend.

I just got the piece from farmer2 and it is a piece of cake to install and fits better than the stock crappy ring. Very nice part and quick service! Thanks Dave!
