Supposedly Dyno Dynamics Dyno's are the most accurate dyno's available. Or so I have heard. Power numbers read very low though.

Ive heard the same about reading low. Unfortunately thats not the case that we've expereinced lately. Im testing the credibilty of a certain shops numbers vs a dynojet.

Here is a thread written by a guy Vishnu used to sponsor. They did extensive testing on both the DynoJet and Dyno Dynamics dyno's.

I have personally had my old WRX on both dyno's as well and seen huge differences in numbers.

i'd check fuel delivery first. make sure fuel pressure keeps up across not only all the MAP but also RPM and battery voltage situations. not exactly a tuning issue, but i've seen it few times too many to ignore it.

I have yet to see a dyno manufacturer that gives an actual certified to NIST accuracy. I am not even sure if anyone has done the uncertainty analysis for it. I honestly think it would be a good thing to do. Maybe I will call the boys up in Gaithersburg and ask around.

We're running a vehicle Monday morning, on our DJ248, that was run on a DD.
This will be the third vehicle run on the same DD, and then on our DJ.
Vehicle #1 was dead nuts. 1 HP diff. Similar weather. Some diff in alt. but not much.
Vehicle #2 tested HI on the DD cmpared to our DJ. 441 on the DJ, almost 460 on the DD. We then brought #2 back to the DJ and made 439 and change.
Report of vehicle #3 tomorrow. Stay tuned.....
Correction factor ALWAYS:SAE, smoothing ALWAYS:5
Only thing we're interested in is the consistancy. Say what ya want about DJs, they read hi, whatever. They are damn consistant machines.
