cylinder walls still fine? I need a block with good cyl walls for my forged build. I can pickup, im from IL and i will make the drive, haha. One could say, i like road trips. heh. I am serious, let me know.

 

they should just need a line hone. do you want me to take it apart before hand to verify this?

 

If the heads are off, just rotate the crank manually and inspect them. What was that nature of the engine failure? overrevving? miss a gear, etc?

 

It was in a friend car and it just started knocking. Car was an automatic and only had bolt ons.

Sorry I did not see your post there. No it is not. That shortblock is still together with the stock internals which I believe to have a spun rod bearing as stated. My apologies there.

 

Even better, this way it can get a little bore/hone to accomodate my new forged goodies! Im pretty much locked on this, just want some verification that the cyl walls arent scratched. Turn over the engine by hand and inspect is all il need. Otherwise im going to be rather upset that i drove 1000 miles for pure junk,haha.

 

Someone is picking up the motor either tonight or tomorrow. If it falls through I will let you know.

Sorry man he picked it up tonight. He had contacted me on a local board the night I listed it but then called me and wanted to pick it up. Anways up to the top for this one. Still have the heads and rods/pistons
