i just checked napa's site, tensioner is $62, the pulley by itself if $18

 

damn..thats alot of money...lol..im broke as hell right now..Anyone got on lying around that they wanna get rid of.

 

do you know its the tensioner for sure? it would be a waste of money throwin parts at it.

 

I agree with Rich. Make sure it is, and if it is fact the tensioner, check the junk yards around you. I think there is one not too far down 83.

 

im not 100%sure its the tensioner im just not sure what else it could be..

 

does anyone have one that i could possibly even borrow to just try to make sure that that is what is wrong? Cause i honestly dont even know what else it could be..

 

hey Jake i had that same problem on my T/A i changed the tensioner out and the problem was solved. I have one but i think its the bad one. I bought mine from Thunder Racing. I went throught two belts and 1 wheel b4 i found out the problem . Belt slipped off lost PS and tapped the brake and went right into a curb Sorry i woulda responed soon but i missed your first post

 

ill have to replace the tensioner i guess then and see if that solves it.

 

Make sure your belt is not worn out or anything and just slipping off. When I had my old belt on at WOT it would slip sometimes. Would not come off though. got a new belt at fixed the problem.

Are you sure the belt is not streched? Did not get oil all over it or anything?

 

its a brand new belt i put on and its still doing it.

 

Is the LT1 and LS1 tensioner the same?

I've got one I can get out to you for really cheap if it is.

What is it doing? Is the belt walking off? How high do you buzz the engine?

 

If you are referring to the one on top of the motor I have a extra one here laying around. Shoot me a pm..
