TSP 231/237 users come on in...
first off, current setup is in my sig...
i have both a ported FAST 90/90 combo and a TSP 231/237 .598/.595 @112+2lsa that i will be installing in the near future...
what i would like to know is, how does this cam perform? it was a toss up between the 231/237 and the TSP Torquer v2, but i decided to go with the 231/237. both cams should turn roughly the same numbers. where does the power kick in? how would it compare to the 224 cam im currently running?
im thinking about just installing the 90/90 getting retuned and then hitting the track to see what numbers i turn before instaling this cam, as i have seen people running 11's with the 224 cam, and the 224 has been one hell of a great cam in my car, 3rd gear is crazy sick!!!
any feedback would be greatly appreciated...

I'm running Comp cam 231/237 .589/.595 112+4. w/ Patriot stage II LS6, 59cc. sounds badass and starts pulling hard at 4k upto 6200rpm's. with good tune and 90/90 you should be up around 440rwhp.

I have a first gen 231/237 and I made 385 rwhp on crappy stock '98 heads with bolt ons. I like it because I don't have to change valvesprings all of the time. The first gen had lazier lobes as it was designed to work with the Comp 918s. Over the winter, I put on some LS6 heads and they really woke the car up. I also put on TSP true duals. It's a whole different car now. Pulls really smooth and hard. I considered going with an MS4, but figured for my street car the 231/237 behaves well and makes nice power.

Im running this cam (on the lunati lobes) with PPLS6 style 59cc heads, LS6 intake, kooks 1-7/8ths, and true duals.
Ive shifted the car as high as 6500 and have my rev limiter set to 6800.
I have not dynoed or raced the car yet but I think it runs very strong. I've not ridden in a 224 car so I guess I can't compare.
I plan on hitting the track this weekend so I'll try to get some #'s for you.
If I had to do it again I'd probably go a little bit shorter duration -on XE-R lobes (228), but I don't think you'll be dissappointed. It just draws a little too much attention for my tastes.

I'm running this cam. I don't have a 90/90 yet, but it's in the future. For me, the cam starts pulling at 3500 and then really kicks in around 5300. I forgot what my peak hp was, but I spin it all the way to 7000 and it pulls hard all the way.

thanks guy, that's what i want to hear. sounds like you all are leased with that cam and the varying setups give a good idea of the power im looking to end up with.
my plans are to install the 90/90 combo first and then take it in for a retune and see what the numbers are and then hit the track. are i see what the 224 will do i will then see about going to the TSP. a lot of people that i have talked to love this cam. thanks for all the responses...

Dan, nice numbers. do you have an intake on the car or the Ls1 intake on it still? im curious to see what my numbers will be after i install my FAST 90/90 in a couple of weeks. after i do that, and then take it for a retune, i want to see where i sit before putting in this cam.
do you have any videos of your car yet?
