Im looking at buying a GTO and i wondering what the 1/4 mile times people are getting with stock GTO's

well not sure with the 04 but the best stock time i have seen for a 05/06 was 12.8

when my 05 A4 was bone stock, i ran 13.8 @ 102 with a completely heatsoaked car in 80* weather and it was my first time at the track. oh, and a crapalicious 2.2 60' too

dont worry my first time i passed a 13.6 spinning and with a temp of 215 f and at one of the worst tracks LACR, if i was at the good 188 f or less good traction and better track i can see my car 13.2 full on on stock but i have seen drivers run constent 13.00-13.2 once they know their cars. and when ur really good 12.8-12.9 isnt out the question.

Basically stock 04 best run of 13.01...second best time in sig. Have made several 13.0x passes.

2006 M6. Totally heatsoaked it went 13.4 @ 107 mph with a 2.2 60.

I had 600 miles on my '04 when I hit the track. Very first pass was 13.6. After 4 trips and just about 1000 miles on the car, I widdled that down to 13.2. There are some that went quicker also.

Then the mods came

LS2 cars have dipped into the 12's on occasion.

On average a stock 05/06 will be about .5 sec faster then an 04 in the 1/4. Of course that depends on A4 or M6 and driver. That .5 second can be made up pretty fast through mods though. The more equal the mods added the smaller the gap becomes until the 05/06 no longer has an advantage.
