It's easy on valvesprings, you can use cheap valvesprings and I actually ran 10.82 heads/cam with it.

It has about 20k miles on.

I've got a brand new set of the comp beehive 26918 springs I'll sell for 130 bucks.

 

It is going in my BMW, or as some people call it, "the GMW"
So far the motor is stock though (for a chevy anyways), I'm hoping to change that!
