How does a stock LS1 fair vs a Mach 1 with 4:10 gears? I hear they run 13.2's stock and 12.7-12.9 with just gears and cai.

Is a driver race .But a stock mach doesn't run 13.2 or high 12's with gears only
I ran a stock Mach I'm A4 when my car was stock I bet him 3 car length's
Raced twice once from a dig and once on a 55 roll
He didn't believe i was stock auto

I don't care bur I can't wait to match up with a stock Mach1 sometime real soon before I mod my car cause' then I will have to take out dan03mach the first time out! any stock or close to stock mach1 in the dfw area wann run? I know this thread will be flooded with Ford fans here in a sec even though this is LS1tech!

Nope. Mach 1's are a great drag platform, they are a driver's race stock for stock against an LS1 F-body. They generally trap a bit lower though, the LS1 has a bit more top end.



I fail to see a kill/death in this thread though.

There was a 100 percent stock Mach1 that got a 12.9 with Paul from PHP driving the car.

I am of the opinion that the LS1 has a slight 1/4 mile advantage over the Mach 1 (especially 01 & 02 versions), but the difference is well within a driver's ability to make up.

Last Sunday I drove about 5 miles side be side with one in light traffic and I teased him a couple times and he wouldn't go.

The problem is the 4.10s on street tires......they'll spin all day, unless he knows what he is doing. and YES....they can/do run high 12s with just gears alone.

i raced one at the track and beat him pretty good. i do think its a driver race.
