Stainless headers $280 shipped?
Anybody every try or seen these?
ebay headers
Just wanting input on what people think of these.
I really like the XS Stainless headers on here, but they dont have emissions, if they did Id buy a set ASAP.
Do you guys think they will make less power of something comparable? Or fit different?

Those look exactly like what I bought off EBay over a year ago for my car. I paid around that for mine and had to remove the emissions crap from them. Other than having to dimple one tube for my starter to fit (I have an 04 block with a GTO starter) and having to make my own Y pipe (noone knew what fit and I like mine more than the crap most companies sell anyway) they fit with no issues at all. I also ground down the casting tab on the driver's side of the block prior to even trying to fit them. About 6 months after I bought mine, the XS headers came available on here without the emissions tubes. Other than the emissions tubes, they look exactly the same.
That being said, you get what you pay for. I still feel that I left some horsepower on the table. I may end up pulling mine off and purchasing either QTP or ARH headers.

Edit: Oh yea, as with the XS headers, if you are making your own Y pipe, I would recommend cutting off the last 2-3 inches of the driver's side collector to enable you to make a gentle bend to your Y pipe. Then purchase a quality merge collector like the Flowmaster piece and some mandrel bends to custom make your y pipe. This merge will be a smooth transition, unlike the Y pipes that slam both sides together at a 45-90 degree angle. I didn't cut mine so I had to make a sharper bend than I would have liked, but mine hasn't banged once in over 10,000 miles.

Think of it like this...With an emissions header, you can just block off what isnt needed. With a race header, there will be no chance of passing emissions, EVER. So the fact that I want them, is my own option.
Why would this be locked? Its not a "mines better than yours". I just wanted to see what people thought of these headers. If they would be worth a damn or not. Since its a discussion thread, and not a vs, thread its ok.

I have to agree, those headers look subpar at best.
I'd say best off with saving some more with a tried and true header like pacesetter or QTP.
Now if you are willing to guinea pig them by all means and best of luck!

notice they never mention how thick the flanges are----one of--if not THE most important part of a header...warped / thin flanges = garbage.
