SOLD!
Up for sale is my 1998 Camaro Z28. It's an automatic with 3.23 rear gearing. Just shy of 98k miles and has been in my possesion for ~5 years now (purchased 2/14/02 w/58k miles.) It's paid off and the title is in my hands. It's been a great car, it has it's quirks but I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It's just time for me to move on to something different.
The mods and other random stuff:
Free ram air
TSP lid
Descreened MAF
Shaner S3
TB bypass
FAST 78 intake
Pacesetter coated LT's
Lane's 3" true duals w/Flo-Pro Twisters
Futral F13 (230"/232" .595"/.585" 114LSA)
TSP p/p LS6 oil pump
LS2 timing chain
PRC dual springs (good to .650")
TSP chromoly pushrods
TCI 3500 SSF
B&M 24k trans cooler
Hypertech 160* thermostat
Spohn solid motor mounts
Spohn tubular mild steel SFC's
Pavlock rod/rod LCA's
BMR LCA relocation brackets
Eibach Pro-Kit
KYB AGX's
Powerslot rotors w/Hawk HPS pads
NGK TR55's
Taylor Spiro-Pro wires
Front grill removed
Side molding removed
Side Z28 badges removed
OEM 98-02 SS spoiler
5% tint all around
MacEwen white faced gauges
MBA brushed aluminum rear inserts
Valve Springs/retainers/locks/pushrods were all bought used with ~500 miles on them. Now about 11k on them.
TCI 3500 was bought used with low miles. Not sure what mileage it had before the install as the thread I bought it from has been deleted.
Eibach's have unknown mileage on them. They were bought used and put on the car with new KYB AGX's when the car had about 72k miles on it.
Powerslots/Hawk HPS pads were put on at 80k miles? I think, not sure.
TSP p/p LS6 oil pump/LS2 timing chain were purchased new.
Simple Quick Racing down in Benbrook installed the cam/stall/valve springs/pushrods/etc. when the car had about 87k miles on it. The car still suffers from a cold start problem but once it's warmed up, it runs great. In the morning, it does not want to stay running. I have to keep giving it gas to keep it running or else the car will die. If the AC is on, it's almost impossible to start the car. This isn't always the case, sometimes it starts up and idles fine. SQR had the car for 4 weeks, 3 of those were spent trying to fix the cold start problem. I'm still not sure what's causing it but maybe SQR or another shop can take a look at it. I've just been dealing with it as I don't have time to leave my car with someone.
Full history as I know it:
Regular maintenance. Oil changed every 3-6k miles.
Swapped tan leather for charcoal leather (can't stand tan interior) -- Drivers seat bolster has a rip in it
Both knock sensors have been replaced (one by dealer, one by RPM in Lewisville)
AC compressor replaced by dealer
Key/Lock cylinder replaced by dealer
Broke a rocker arm - was replaced by SQR
The car has been in two wrecks that I know of. One was about a week after I got it, I was rear ended by a lady while I was stopped at a light. I didn't see any damage except for a small scratch, so I never bothered getting it looked at/fixed. I have since noticed that the rear bumper is slightly tilted on one side, no one ever notices though. Here is a picture of the rear I took with the TT2's I had for a few days - you can see the passenger side bumper is a little tilted. Link
The other wreck was about 3-1/2 years ago in a parking lot. A girl in a Focus came flying through a gas station parking lot, clipping my front bumper. It shifted the front bumper over a little and scratched up the front fascia. The stull billet grill I had was torn up as well. The body shop replaced everything that was damaged: the front fascia, Camaro nose emblem, front bumper support and stull billet grill (grill has since been sold.) There are some slight gap differences with the hood/nose/fenders, I never took it back to have them correct it as it never bothered me enough.
I strongly suspect the car was in some sort of front end collision before I bought it. From a few different people that have looked at it, they say the same thing. It appears to have been fixed correctly though. I'm not sure to what extent the damage was, CarFax doesn't show anything either. There is a bent tie rod that needs to be replaced, something else I never got around to fixing. The car drives fine though.
The stereo system could use some attention. Currently has an Alpine CDA-9815 MP3 headunit that sometimes creates a buzzing noise through the speakers. It does it at odd times, no rhyme or reason. The sail panel speakers have been removed as well.
The passenger side rocker panel has a dent/scrape mark near the rear wheel. The driver side rocker panel has some scrapes as well. These were there when I purchased the vehicle and can be seen in the pictures, I can get better pictures though. The car overall has some minor scratches and such, it looks great from a few feet away.
Looking to get $6500 FIRM for the car.
Link to pictures below, will have interior shots up ASAP.

Yeah, really took me by surprise! Last time I listed it, it didn't get near as much attention - maybe it was the lack of pictures. I was expecting this to take a few days at least. Now I'm looking for something else to drive around in.
yeah i sold my car so i could find a truck around $6500. i was hoping that the 04 ram i had found for $6900 would be a good fit but when i went and saw it, it had 4 rotted tires, missing pieces of the intake and an interior that looked like the previous owner let his dogs sleep in it. couldnt pass up another fbody tho especially one as clean as yours. im thinking of picking up a zo6 cam for a little less rumble
