Default Wheels & Tires for sale

SOLD!!

I'm selling a set of 4 18x9.5 with 65mm back spacing. The wheels have 2 Nitto 555 275/35/18 & 2 Nitto 555 285/35/18 tires on them. The front tires average 8-9 32nds of tread depth & the rears average 6-7 32nds. The tires new have 10.5 32nds of tread on them new.

I'm asking $550 for local pick up. Shipping involves time I'd rather spend doing other things, I would consider shipping if they don't sell locally, but I'm going to try for a local sale first to keep things simple.

I'll include a set of chrome lug nuts with the wheels if you need them. Also, I have air tools, floor jacks & a torque wrench so we can put them on & you can drive away on them if you like. We can stick your old ones in some Hefty bags so it won't dirty up your car.

Pics can be viewed here: http://www.fquick.com/garages/viewga...d=3&carid=4507 also.

I would entertain some trades, but please PM me what you have don't clutter up the thread with junk. Things I might be interested in: guns, adj. torque arm, a kegerator in good shape, 31x10.5x15" mud tires, Jeep XJ suspension parts/bumpers.

Here's before I lowered the car & put on chrome lugs:

Yeah, I said that with a wink in jest, lol. Honestly though, I put the old 18" on the scale compared to the Fikse wheel/tire combo & there was not a significant weight reduction. I think I lost about 2.3# per corner but then again, that's new tires vs. tires with about 25-40% tread gone....but still, it can't be that much mass. So, either the Y2K C5 wheels are rather light wheels or the Fikse wheels don't offer as much weight reduction as one might think, lol. I just think the C5's have nice thin spokes & don't weight as much as a lot of other wheels out there.

Yea the C5 Y2K wheels are the lightest GM wheel I'm pretty sure. The difference between those and fikse in weight isn't that much. However your new wheels are MUCH nicer looking than factory Y2Ks!!!

Congrats on the new wheels and gl selling the old

William

downsize = not necessarily a downGRADE

Wish the fronts were 17s. I am in Friendswood and Pearland constantly...

Probably not going to separate them, buy them & sell the wheels yourself if you really want em

Yeah, I was kidding about the whole downgrade thing. I'm still getting used to seeing more sidewall, but the shine of polished lips sorta mesmerizes me and makes me forget they are 17" instead of 18", lol. Why do you want 17" for the front? 18" all around works great If I kept them I'd get 275's for the rear too when it was time for new tires so I could do 4 wheel rotations & extend tire life even more. But it's not a daily driver....not even close so it doesn't matter near as much as someone that may drive lots of miles.

These would be a great set of wheels for someone that wants an extra set for autox, these babies with tires are only approx 2lbs. heavier than my Fikses with tires at a fraction of the cost.

If they don't sell here soon I'm going to start posting elsewhere. I just wanted to give my fellow LS1Tech folks first shot at them since I've gotten such good deals here myself. Papa needs house down payment money, lol.

Pics added. Also, if you go to my FQuick page the you can see high resolution pics of the wheels so you can see the blemishes better. I've got a lot of PMs, but who's going to take them home ?
