4L60E F-Body 3,500 stall converter
I just got a new converter installed today. I drove the car to Chicago to Speed Inc from Des Moines, Ia for the converter swap, the converter was taken out in perfect working order. It is a Midwest 3500, it is pretty tight, not sure on STR, but from the other converters I've driven, it is probably around a 2.5 STR, on the upshifts in my car the RPMS dropped to 5,000.
It was in my car when I bought, so I don't have all the info on it.
The fluid was clean, trans has never been overheated.
My car ran 11.70 with a 1.68 60' on 17" ET Radials with this converter, I have a video I'll post of a little street driving with it. It is WAY daily driver friendly & drove great with both a 224/224 cam & the current 231/237 on 112 LSAs.
Let me know if you have any questions.
$350 shipped.
Thanks!
Here is a little video of driving it...

To anyone that is interested..
I installed this converter, I used to own Unstang's SS (I was the second owner, the car was bone stock when I got it).
The converter was purchased new by me and was installed along with a TransGo shift kit, deep pan with filter kit, and a B&M 19k cooler. The trans rarely went over 200° and I never had any isses with its performance...it usually ran right around 170-180.
If I remember correctly, the STR is 2.0. I personally hit a 1.69 60' with 17" Nitto DRs and a stock suspension. The car weighed 3640 with me in it. It was a great driving car and that's a nice performing converter.
Unstang is a stand up guy, no worries. Check my feedback too. Good luck with the sale!

lol, naw, at cruising speed it locks up for better fuel economy, like the stock converter
