Default ArmDrop Live Weekend!

We had Rich Christinsons Arm Drop live at a home track this weekand and the car really ran well.. All year it has been running 9.90- 9.80s and last time out we had a problem with the nitrous selinoid getting hot and stop working. We switched it with a new Eldelbrock silenoid still running threw the nitrous daves plate kit and the car woke up and became a new animal. First pass right of the trailor i ran a 9.69 at 139. Then first round qualifying i ran against a local racer and i was trying to really cut the light on him since his car was running a .010 or two faster. It yanked the wheels and triped the 60ft with the back tires, but unfortunately since it was a quallifying run they did not give me any times, but at the end i was 1 to 1.5 cars ahead at the big end and he went a 9.55. and I bearly cut read really pissed me off cause i think it was on a pass! Here is a vid of the wheel stand and a pic!

Looked like a really good pass. Were you just foot braking on that launch, because it looked like you just rolled out of the beams a bit early? Does the car have a trans brake on it? How does the car run NA? What does the converter flash to? Sorry for all of the questions, but I have a setup VERY similar to yours, that I plan on spraying 150 at in a couple weeks. So far its gone 10.7's NA. 413 LS2, L92 heads, t400, N20 Outlet Plate.

Yes i was just foot braking, the car does have a tranny brake but i have never used it. Im not a big fan of them i think they make shit spinn if its not set up for it. I cut 1.3 all day long with the foot break so thats good enough. The converter is a 4400 stall, i just roll it inoto the beams and stall the fuck out of it and let it go. Yea the breaks werent holding it that run so i let it go. This car runs 11.0s on the motor .. What kind of drive line are you running threw?

I am running a spooled 12 bolt with 3.73's, and a 28x11.5 ET Drag. I am still running stock shocks but the car has gone 1.39 60' times on motor. On the trans brake the car flashes to 4600 rpms. I would be very happy cutting consistant 1.3's. I normally launch off the brake, but after watching your car, I think I am going to try going off the footbrake. Are you thinking about uping the shot a little higher. I am thinking that I may put on some Madman SYA bars before taking it to the track with a bottle on it.

Sory about that i posted from my dads computer and it was logged in under his name. We are kicking the idea around i was going to call it quits for the year and pull the motor to build somthing else for next year but i think i might sneak back up one more time and see if i can pull a little more out of the 150 set up.. Im afriad that if i go with more spray out of the hole it wont hook, and there goes the 60ft. I think i could get away with more if i were using a direct port because the hit woudlnt be so hard, other wise i woudl problably have to add a second stage up stairs.

Looks can be decieving! allmost but not quite there! All though i did cut tiny red so it might have been a neck and neck race. That car is a solid 8 second car with a good converter, it has mid 155+ Trap speeds all day long, just needs to leave hard! And it is running threw an AOD

Oh, didn't see in your first post that you redlighted. I guess that explains how far ahead you were out of the hole against that rustang, thought maybe he was asleep at the wheel. Looks like he was coming on hard at the end. 150 plus traps will do that I guess.
