Default another eastside 9 second Nos car

I'm gonna link the post in the eastern forum so I don't have to retype the whole thing.. but the nitrous finally went on...

9.77@135 on a 100 shot

9.61@ 138.6 and a 9.63 @139.6 on a 150 hit

I have timeslips scanned but they're too big to link to the post, if someone can get them up on here I will send them to ya.. I'm a little too stoked to mess with it now

Here's a link to the video of the 9.63 run:

Please update my status to 9 second skull LOL

I hear ya. 9.5 index class for me next year, of I can get there on a 100 hit then that leaves me with a 125 and 150 for when the track goes away, that's the plan, nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe someday if I get bored with it I'll think about pushing it faster, but that was plenty fast for me on Friday, I can handle it at that speed, at this point I am not really intrested in trying to go a ton faster.

130's is like driving a Cadillac on cruise control man

How bout you get it running 9.70's on the motor then add the 150

We need to get that bad machine in the 8's now.

We got our turd running 9.70 on motor and 9.30 on a 100 shot, but still have some tuning to go. We're trying to keep the shot under 200, but the goal for the car is only 8.90's so that isn't much to go.

How's it 60 footing?

car went 1.35 on the 100 shot, and spun a little with the 150, went 1.36, 1.40 and a 1.41

I think once the car's weight is down to 3200 it should run probably 10.0 on motor, 9.4 on a 100 hit.

I want to run a 9.5 index next year so with the planned weight reduction and chassis upgrades for nhra the car will be right where I want it to be, I really have no desire to push it to the next level.

Sure, I could put a DP on it and hit it with 250 and see what happens, but I want to race it a full season and see how I do, and go from there.

Sounds like you've got a strong running rocket, glad you're in cali so I don't have to race ya

Thansk guys. Slow ET, you're DA situation is similar to mine where I usually up at LVD in new york, it's always in the 1500 to 4000 range.

Although I didn't make a motor hit to get a comparison of what the car ran there vs what it runs at the home track, I don't think it's as much as everyone claims. What I picked up on the bottle is what we figured it would do at lvd as well, and with the prep/temp of the track I dunno if the traction was even that much better to be honest.

Time will tell my first outing next year I'll most likly be making lic. runs, and that will most likly happen at lvd, so with the planned weight reduction, even if atco was .2 faster then lvd/ned, I should still be in good shape

I hear ya believe me. I had a good season regardless, but getting the car otu once on the juice to see what it's capable of and see how it runs on the bottle which it was built to do, was nice. I can now justify the safety stuff I had planned to do over the winter, so that's nice, and I can now most certainly sit back all winter with some awesome end of season results, with the car still 100% which is even better.

Granted, I'm still gonna tear into it and go thru everythign anyway, but better to do that when stuff isn't broken then to wait until it is.

I think it will be faster than you think once you get weight out of it and get everything out of the 60ft.

Our 9.30 pass was with a glide and a 1.30 60ft with 142 mph, which you're only 4 mph off what we ran, I am sure you can get the 60 ft down to a 1.32 or so at the weight you're at.

How much weight are you going to pull? Because you're very close to the 9.50 index now how much under are you going to try to make it so you can slow the car down?
