.

Too be honest, most everyone I know now a days use a 9". Several reasons. The center section can be shared or borrowed in an emergency with race friends. My slow car & most everyone I know run 35 spline axles, just for that purpose. You can keep a spare set up & pop it in if you ever hurt yours. Once the 9" is set up, it's good to go. Dana's & chevy's have to be set up when you install. Just a thought on what we do in my little group of friends, but I'm no expert. Good luck.

I like the dana 60, just on the ring gear size and pinion location, too bad no one makes a fabricated 9" style hosuing with a dana 60 gear using a ford style center section, that would really be the new hot ticket. Although they do make a 12 bolt center section for a 9".
