Are you going carburetor or fuel injection? I have heard about the headers but i think there is some slight modification involved not sure. I am still working out my intake solution on my BBC swap. But i am using a ls1 pcm and going with coil per cylinder
You'll need to modify the headers if you are using the off the shelf hookers.
I can't remember which primary (see the sticky) but one has to be cut and re-welded to clear the steering linkage. Or you can go for a set of Lemons headers which will be aroung $1300.
Good luck with the swap. I think you may have a pretty rough time getting it done in such a short period of time.
yea im going with a carb right now. im going to go injected later on down the road. im still wating on my k memeber from bmr but i have every thing else so i just wating on it then i will get going with the swap. will post up pic when i get stated.
The weight argument it stupid, compare a Warhawk LS motor to a all aluminum BBC, the weight difference is worth it to me with the kazillion more cubes.
If you are running stock heads the 2455's will work just fine except for one of the passenger side primaries. They will come close to hitting down by the LCA so you might have to dent them a little. Yes you can use the stock system but you will have to replace the stock plastic lines with something and get an adjustable regulator so you can turn down the pressure. Cowl depends on the carb you are running, you might have to get rid of the wipers.
I put an ls1 rack in mine to fix the clearence issue. But now I got to sell the car because no money plus a deployment date of july 1st. IT aint going to happen unless i trip over 2 grand in the next month
