Thanks guys.

Its a painfully slow process but it's getting there.

I have to get in touch with Midwest today or tomorrow to make sure my rear will be done soon. Once thats in the car then the real fun will begin.

Good thing to cause that body work was getting old quick. I could never make it as a body man.

Same here, i do body work on my own shit because i have to, no means cause i like it.

I got the 12 bolt in my 89. Need to hook up the brakes, needs 1 rotor though. The studs are too long to use the shank lugs for my convo pros since they are closed end. I am selling them anyway. My big block is in the shop right now getting the block done. Still need the special flywheel to mate the T56 to the 461.

Yep...need more money...

I hear ya. It seems like whenever I think I'm getting closer something I never thought of comes up.

Oh well the joys of hot rodding. I'm sure it'll be worth it at startup. Hopefully I make a pass or two this year.

teaser pic of the new rear! I'll get better pictures when it's not in the back of my truck.

I was stopped for the most part this week waiting on parts but everythings in and I can start working again.

Gas tank gets done monday afternoon and then the whole rear assembly for the car goes in. Then probably a few days worth of brake line mock up.

Things should be moving fast from this point forward. Once I find a suitable location for my external fuel pump I'll be able to finish the fuel system as well.

There are the pictures from today. They're a little dark but you get the point. Everything went great. Strage SA shocks and stock springs that I repainted black.

Engine and trans went in the car saturday morning. It went really well until I realized the trans mount didn't line up. The trans mount is about 1" to short. I'm going to call around to my part designers and see if I can track that down.

Got the back of the car buttoned up and realized the rotors were to thick to spin in the caliper. So now I have to solve that problem and others.

On the bright side of things every thing fits in the car beautifully. I can do a header swap in 15 minutes. CSR trans shield fits perfectly with no modification and my MSD pro billet distributor goes in and out with no problems.

I'll have some pictures up tonight.

Here are a few more pics showing header fitment. You can also catch a glimpse of my custom brake lines.

Ran into a problem (one of many) in the last few days.

Turns out my rear housing may have been setup wrong. I can't fit a set of rotors on it at the moment. The spacing is not correct and this causes the rotor to bind on the brake caliper bracket. I'm getting that resolved soon hopefully.

I'm going to start working on the battery relocation today. I decided to go with one of the Taylor setups. It looks like with a little work I'll be able to fit the battery box in the spare tire well. I'll keep this updated as I make my way.

On a side note, what are you guys doing for air cleaners? My dominator comes right up to the windshield and it looks like I'm going to have to get creative with an air cleaner.

No words of advice on the Air cleaner??

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Things have been going alittle slow. I mounted the battery box and cutoff switch last weekend. This week the 6AL MSD box was mounted along with the coil (both inside the car behind the dash)

I'm going to try and get the battery wire started and finished here in the next couple of days then it looks like fuel lines and final wiring. I still need a shifter but I can't find any used Turbo action Cheetahs so I may have to get one new if I don't find one soon.

As for the wiring I'm going to go with a painless setup #50002 Pro street harness. Seems like a pretty good deal seing as I ripped almost every last wire out of my car.

I think my hopes of having the car in racing shape for the end of this month are all but gone but we'll see what happens. I'm still waiting to here from midwest chasiss to get my rear end situation fixed but it has been hard to get him on the phone. I need this to get sorted out before I can finish my brake system.

Hopefully I'll have some more pictures up this week.

The car looks really nice. You can really see how much time you have taken to make it all look and fit right. Great job.

I haven't updated in a while but there has been a good amount of progress since last time.

Battery cutoff and lines are done. Trans cooler and lines are done. Alternator and every thing that goes with that has been done.

The wiring is well on it's way. I'm getting some help on that since electrical is not my strong suit.

Some of my parts are on back order aren't expected in until the end of the month so that really hurts my time line. I'm waiting on an auto console thats coming so I can finish my cheetah install. Other than that it's small stuff from here on out. The fuel system still has to be run but I'll knock that out one night this week. Other than that it's getting really close. Here are some pictures of how it sat a couple days ago.

Thanks guys. I'll try to have some more pictures up this week of the interior work. As of tonight I'll have all the gauges done and wired. Last night I got the cheetah mocked up for installtion and got the console cut to give it a "factory" apperance.

Only thing left on the wiring harness is to connect the break lights and headlights. Everything else is ready to go.

Here are a few more pictures. I fianlly finished the trans cooler lines and the gauges. I had to build a bracket to hang the fuel pump and I started running some of the fuel lines until a JEGS -10an fitting stripped out.

Here are some pictures of the gauges.
