Default Alternator Selection???

Ok guys I need some help on alternator selection. I have no clue where to start on this. Do I need a one wire or two wire? How many amps?

The battery is located in the back of the car and wired with 1/0 welders wire.

The accesories will be your basic pro street/pro mod car. Elec fans, elec water pump, elec fuel pump, Full Autometer dash, headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals and ignition.

Any help is VERY much appreciated.

Thanks,

~Jim~

What came in the vehicle? The one wire GM units are simple and sweet. Cannot remember how big they go but that might be your best choice.

Just to finish this thread off I bought a 140 amp 1 wire alternator last week. I spoke with 3 different distributors and 2/3 said I should go 140.

Thanks for the help guys,

~Jim~
