86 Monte Carlo SS... no more 305 but a 350 punched out .040 with ported vortec heads, zz3/4 roller cam, 600 carter carb, edelbrock eps alum. intake, hooker headers, and a 96 tahoe block lol... car weights 3675 with me and ran a 8.71 first weekend with engine which would unfortunately be last weekend for racing... 12 bolt and built 200-4r this winter

I'm full swing into my build up right now.

I'm installing a 427 SBC in my 97 Z/28.

Should be getting the motor in the car by Feb 2008. Hope to see some track time this year but who knows whats going to happen.

I've got a '79 Trans Am with SBC 350 and TH350 trans. The motor's all "stock" right now, but I plan on waking it up in the next couple of months with new carb, IM, cam, header-back exhuast. I have no idea yet what combo I'm going to put together for it though. It's just going to be a street cruiser, so I'd like some nice low-mid range power/torque. I'm open to any ideas or suggestions.

i have a 95 Z28 that i got as a rolling chassis. this is going to be a full street trim car, with everything but air conditioning. that means all 4 seats heat and a full stereo! all my factory gauges are going to work etc. here are two pictures of what the start of my project looks like. its a 454 with a th400 reverse manual valve body and a 4k stall. this is still the early stages but i have a cheater plate thats going on top of the motor as well! the engine and transmission are in place VIA front and mid plates and custom cross member. stay tuned for more!

I am doing a 93 trans am big block as well. And the truck I posted up top is now getting an 8.1 swap. The 454 out of the truck is getting forged pistons bigger cam and better heads. Coil per cylinder and ran off of an ls1 pcm

Default 98 Fuel Injected Firebird

I am new to this site and have been trying to get some ideas for my 98 build. My project started out as a firebird and first thing I replaced was the rear deck lid. I am currently pulling out the whimpy V-6 and building a fuel injected 454 in it's place. I was originally going to install a LS1 but came across someone that did a big block install. NOTHING BEATS THE TORQUE AND POWER OF A BIG BLOCK so I decided I have to do it. I have already purchased an engine and would like to go fuel injected. I would like to install a Victor Jr. fuel injection intake and modify it so I can add a throttle body like the LS1 style throttle body(so I can use the Ram Air hood and keep it functional) Anyway to make a long story short (too late) Can anyone tell me if a 80mm throttle body is too small or should I upgrade. Any information would be helpful. Thanks, Photo's coming soon.

I swapped a 355 into my 92 rs. It origanlly had a 305. Its a hydrulic roller motor with 64cc e-tec aluminum heads, cam : 234/238 duration @ .050 lift & a .539/.548 lift 112 lsa, air gap intake, 750cfm holley, some 1 3/4 long tubes, full roller rockers, comp cam hardened pushrods with +.100 length over stock, double roller timing chain, a/c & heater delete . I still need a rear end, & trans is going to be a 350 (it is at the shop getting rebuilt) and I might put a 3200 stall I dont know yet.

I wouldnt put a hi stall speed unless you plan on drag racing all the time.
Every where you go it just feels like slush unless your stomping on it off the light. I started with a 3500 and went to 28 then 25. Now I have a 2200 and its so much nicer to drive. If its all race ok. 50% race maybe. 10 20% -go lower.

Alot of big power combos in here. Looking at all of the combos makes me want to get a rebuild going like yesterday. I have an 89' Iroc that I dropped a small(by todays standards) BBC a 454 with hooker super comp headers, backed by a full reverse manual valve bodied th400 trans with a hurst pro-matic 2 shifter 3" steel shaft infront of a 4thgen 10 bolt.
