Sorry I'm not gonna make it. I'll be at Prescott bracket racing trying to bring home some more money, hope you guys have fun .
I don't think it would do me any good going back to thunderroad. Last time I went out I ran an a 11.58 with a 1.90 60ft. Go to Prescott and run a 6.96 with a 1.52.
I agree on the prep at prescott esspecially for the bracket day. I never thought I could pull 1.49 with MT DR. Best 60' at ThunderRoad has been 1.73.
I am going to ThunderRoad just because there is going to be a large turnout of LSX cars. Then I will probably go back to prescott from there on out. Unless I make a trip to Pine Valley, Ennis, or Crandle.

I dont know if it was just because how cold it was/ the condensation in the air (car was wet??) but I couldnt 60' at all. Ran a best of 11.0 @ 124 with a 1.73 At prescott last weekend my 1/8 was over .3 better and my 60' was .24 better there as well.

The wet weather we have had (ground still soaked) and the cold air with night fall had the dew really coming on strong. I know this made for a slick track, but still saw some good times.

That track is well know for holding water, bad water runoff or retention that have yet to be addressed.
Saturday would have been the day for you to race. Track prep is slightly better for the bracket programs and you get some sun on the very little VHT they use for your early runs. TR does not prep the track and when you get the kind of dew that fell friday night it only makes it worse. Prescott hooks alot better and you get more runs in. I would rather get 6 solid runs than 10 shitty passes.

TRRP preps the track much better than the last people to run the place. I've actually seen the spray VHT on the track a bunch of times per night. Just wait until they start running during the day. Like Scott said, that track has always had a water seepage problem

The new owners did dig some dirt from outside of the walls to get a deeper ditch the length of the track to help with the water seepage. They are also using alot more VHT then was put down before. Alot of the track crew did not show up friday nite as the state fair is in Shreveport and they were busy with family. Something that I have noticed this year is you really have got to do a really good job of heating the tires up out of the water box, I mean really smoke the place up.

To me if you have to heat the tires up hard and put alot of heat on them then the VHT is a shit mix and not the real deal. If the track is prep with good VHT you will not need to do a burnout longer to heat the tires up.
Think about it! if they are crying about lack of cars being there to race in their program and a low car turnout why would i want to use good vht when i knew i was going to have a mediocore turnout and be out even more money on using a better grade VHT. I would could mix it 60/40 and streetch my VHT farther and put money back into my pocket and call it a learning process for next season. What im seeing is if you prep the track half ass you better hope nothing goes wrong with mother nature cause it will show up and may get nasty as the night goes (nighttime dew and rain water under the track). They way the water holds on and under the track it should be a full time job during the week to get the track ready for the weekend and im sure it is. Who knew this was going to be a problem building a track in the middle of a cotton field almost like building a house 5 foot from the river and hoping it don't flood lol.
When i go back it will be saturday racing and if i go on a friday to shoot the shit with ya'll i already know what to exspect with the track conditions.

Well if you are looking for a good saturday to run day time Nov. 7th should be a good one. They have a big event friday nite and a Outlaw race saturday, I would think the track would be in very good condition. They do run TnT 1/4 mile during the Outlaw events.
