Default Lowered 35th LE

Anyone have any pics of their lowerd 35th LE's? If you do, could you also post what type of springs/shocks/struts you're using.

Bilstein Level 2 package from SLP (originally optioned with it). Sits a little lower in the back than the front, and the ride is very harsh since this package is for drag racing I believe. A manhole cover is a jarring experience!

Don't forget to come to the 35th Anniversary gathering/reunion in Dallas (Plano) on the 26th if you can make it!

very nice looking LE man. What do you use to clean your wheels? I'm afraid to use any type of spray thinking it might dim the paint.

My mom's 35thLE is rarely driven, so it doesn't require much cleaning. I would highly suggest just using regular car soap and a nice soft mitt and cleaning them by hand.

The spray cleaners worry me as well. I have used Turtle Wax brand wheel cleaner on the Z28 and my GXP, but I won't use it on the SS.

The thought of damaging that paint is a big worry! Those wheels look too good to screw up! Better to just gently wipe them with a soft mitt and soap.

I actually use Dawn dish washing soap on my GXP to get the wheels clean. It does a really good job of getting the huge amount of brake dust off. I've never used it on the SS wheels though. The brakes on the LS1 Camaros don't produce a massive amount of dust, and since the wheels are painted black in all the right places, it is hardly noticeable when they are dirty.

Ive give a kidney, my spare l98, and my 83 honda odyssey for a cme. If i could find one of those and make a desicision on wheels id be set lol. Btw, the setup im planning on to lower mine is the strano spring and strano valved bilstein kit. very good deal for less than $800.

i want to lower mine as well cause it does sit kinda high... that 1.3 drop looke pretty good, how is the ride, i only drive my car on the weekend but i dont want to be scraping on every little bump, esp. when i get my long tubes on... i have not done much searching on spring n shocks, but do they make like 1/2" drops?

Good to see another one. It seems like all of us with the factory Bilstein package sit a tiny bit lower in the rear than the front.

I only drive my car on the weekends as well and the ride is not that bad, Maybe a little stiffer than stock but its tolerable. I have LT's and luckily have not scraped, You do have to be cautious in some areas(steep angles and speedbumps) though

I like the way your car looks. Yea it does deff seem to sit a little lower in the rear at least less fender gap. Good looking cars, guys.
