Default 2002 Artic White Firehawk Formula Photoshoot

I finally got time to clean and detail the 2002 Aritic White Formula Firehawk I bought a few weeks ago. I also removed the side moldings, put on new decals (the factory ones were showing some age), overlays (still not sure at all about the nose bird...I may take the green off and go all blue), and got the windows tinted. I have got to get new turn signal housings...I know the ones in it look like shit. I just forgot to order them last week.

I spent about 15hrs on it total..it was pretty dirty but the paint was in good shape (expect for the million rock chips on the nose.) The steps where fairly straight forward...washed it with dawn, Zaino clay bar, washed it with dawn, touched up the million chips on it, clayed it again, washed it with dawn again, buffed it with Zaino Fusion Z-PC swirl remover, then two coats of Zaino Z-5. The tires were done with Z-16 Zaino Tire Gloss, the glass polished with Z-12 Zaino glass polish and the taillights with Z-14 plastic polish. I need to follow up with some Zaino Z-2 but the weather is starting to deteriorate down here so it will have to wait. (You would never know my SOM car is sponsored by Zaino would you.... )

Ok, now for the pics....let me know what you think...not a bad daily driver huh?

I figured I would add these too...get a good look because if you know me you know it wont stay this stock for long!

It has cruise but no traction control. Thats what that little box on the passengers side fender is...not cruise control.

Thanks for the compliments!

Oh yea! Its so weird to see a stock engine bay so empty. Then again you dont have EGR and TC. Shoot do the wire and !AIR and youll be left with nothing in there.

Yeah, those are the stock colors. But I think SLP was in charge of the color selection not GM. I thought of going with a different color but then everybody would have said its not a real Hawk because the colors are wrong.

BTW my wife likes the light blue and lime green.....

Very nice....

I'd change the front 'bird to all blue.... remove the "Firebird" lettering and bird on the filler panel between the tailights..... and make the "Pontiac" on the back of the car all white...

Make sure you keep the original Blackwing airbox lid.... those things are very hard to find!

p.s. and get a custom license plate.

I am going to get a custom filler done in white with FORMULA on it instead of FIREBIRD....painted and cleared, no decals. I like the blue PONTIAC on the back and I am still undescided about the bird on the front.

I am going with a polished SLP TB, and SLP bellows...so the Blackwing lit will fit in nicely.

My personalized plate is on order and will be here in about a month..."FLAWLS1"

I was gonna say dont drive the daily drive this car, get another one but I see you said you're already looking. The only thing that car needs is some polished calipers and a stock filler plate on the nose!
