|  Two Tone Paint Question
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I don't think many were painted like this. But I was wondering if my car's two tone paint job is stock or if the guy before me did it. If it is stock, how rare is it? How do I find out? Thanks in advance.   |

The black roof and mirrors was standard on the Z28 and SS in 1997, to get them body colored was an option . . .
Option code D82, on the door RPO sticker. | |

From the Camaro White Book, I see:
There were a total of 60,180 1997 Camaros built . . .
Of that there were 17,955 Coupe & T-Top Z28 and SS Camaros . .
Of that, 14,172 were ordered with the D82 body colored roofs.
So that, leaves
3,783 Z28 and SS Camaros with black roofs.
IF I am doing my math correctly and reading this book correctly . . . | |

Oh and there were 26,165 Camaros ordered with T-tops, leaving 34,015 Hard Top Camaros. | |
