Default Some fun stuff happening at RPM Transmissions

Well here at RPM Transmissions we do MUCH more than build transmissions and differentials. We have our shop test bed 07 Z06, our 2010 Camaro SS race car and many more customer cars we are building. So I'll start off this thread with some pictures of our 2011 Corvette Grand Sport convertable we are installing an entire Lingenfelter twin turbo 427 LS7 package and our fully built TH6060 and differential.

Here is a little update on the Lingenfelter Twin Turbo Grand Sport projet. We got the engine and front suspension in the car friday. We are hopeing to have the front of the car buttoned up befor the end of the week. We have 2 other 4L60e conversions in the shop right now so the Grand Sport is last in line to get progress sense it is one of our shop projects and not a customers car. Here are a few pictures.

Today at RPM Transmissions we have a ZR1 on the menu. We aquired Lingenfelters project ZR1 and we are now in the process of putting the RPM Transmissions spin on it

We are installing a 2.3" blower pulley and a 14% overdriven balancer and ported inlet elbow. Also a set of 2" American Racing headers and their 3" off road pipe, an RPS triple carbon clutch, RPM Transmissions fully prepped TR6060 with the Z06 2.66 gearset with a 9310 main shaft and fully micropolished internals, RPM built ZR1 differential with Driveshaft shop HD Axles and Driveshaft CV shafts along with Pfadt differential mounts. The car will be running on the same CCW drag pack it has been on in the past but now with 345/35/18 M&H RaceMaster drag radials.

We are hoping the car runs in the mid to low 9s with these new upgrades. Here are a few pictures of the progress.

The ZR1 arrived at the shop at 9am. This picture was taken at 11:30am. The rear suspension, transmission and differential are already out of the car along with the supercharger upper hat, and the interior panels that needed removed to access other components.

Here is a shot of the 2010 ZR1, 2011 Grand Sport, and our 2010 Camaro SS race car in progress (note the chute on the rear )

An update to this thread has been long overdue. Things have been pretty crazy around the shop lately. We moved into a new much larger facility in April so we have been working hard to get settled in. I will try to do a better job posting in this thread now that we are settled in the new shop and everything is running smooth.

Here is a picture of the front of our new shop at night.

The pictures below are of what is quite possibly on of the baddest TR6060s on the planet right now! It is a faceplated, lightweight, straight cut gearset built specifically for one of out highend customers for their 2010 Camaro race car. We are looking forward to see how well it performs on sunday!
