Chris came by the shop a few weeks ago and let us know that he had bought a Vortech supercharger kit off of a buddy of his, and that he would like us to install it, along with other goodies and supporting mods.
We were finally able to start on the car this Monday, and we are already ahead of schedule, which is always nice in this business...
The car is a 2001 Formula that is in MINT condition. Being a fellow F-body owner myself, I really appreciate the care Chris has apparently taken with this car. He has 3pt subframe connectors, Edlebrock torque arm, LCA's and a panhard bar currently installed, and is now searching for more power (I dont blame him). He is running MT drag radials as well, which make for a NICE street car with a solid hook! Very nice ride all around!
We will be installing the following:
Vortech supercharger V-9 G (8lb 3.125 pulley, 8 rib set up for now)
60 # injectors
Racetronix drop in fuel pump
Triple gauge pillar with Boost, AEM Wideband, and Fuel pressure gauges
and a few other goodies to boot
I will add pictures as we go, so check the thread often!
Today we will finish the fuel pump install and then will start to tap the oil pan for oil feed and return lines, as well as mount the head unit. We will also need to pin the crank, but will do that tomorrow...
Overall, this install is going to be VERY nicely, I cannot wait until it is completed. We will put it on our in house dyno and tune it, then I will post a graph with numbers!
