The story of Camaroholic's 98 Z28

Well, seeing as how I was really bored I decided to read it. I really like your car and now you seem to have me hooked with slowly updating it. Hint Hint finish, want to read more. Any idea on what sort of raceweights you were at?

I could also post the scariest part of the story - the bill from Thunder. Then again, naah. Wouldn't want my wife to see it.

Saw the update. It's nice to see that you're making it much more street oriented. That's all I plan on doing with mine. There's not a track around here for many miles, so street oriented it will be.

Thanks. Yeah, my 'list of annoyances versus street driving' is pretty long, but they included:

-fixed front torque arm
-manual rack
-race seats
-5 pt harness
-rollbar sidebars (fortunately mine are removable)
-pro shifted trans
-skinnies and no swaybar
-spool
-no front bumper support
-no windshield wipers or reservoir
-no cats (err, or exhaust at all for that matter)
-no carpet padding (noisy interior)

And "stage 2" would be:

-A/C
-ABS
-maybe airbags

I've still got all of my stock parts (except I sold my A/C compressor). So everything I 'need' to go back to the street, I still have. So my total cost to get back on the street won't be that high. The wheels were the most expensive part of that, and heck, they weren't too bad.

Unfortunately, stuff takes me a while to do, and the easy part (the transmission swap) is done. Now it's time for the time consuming stuff.

Ahh witholding information eh? Haha just kidding man. Got some new wheels in the mail today, I'll get you the pics I promised this weekend. It looks a lot different than it used to
