Default Window motor Troubles.

I need some advise. I have installed TWO brand new AcDelco window motors since 7/3/08. The first one snapped of the coiled up spring on the track, or for a better word on the X peice. So I took that on out. And went to exchaange it inder the warranty. I go home and install by the book. The window is centered and goes up and down, the problem is that the gears that move it up and down rub on the houseing of the window motr itself. The window motor was installed with the factory rivits so I don't think it is a alginment issue. The first did it as well. The factory one was so long ago I can't remeber. Can I bend the case on the window motor to give clearnce or let the gears make thier own path?
