I thought the stock TA headlights were a sealed beam housing so you can't replace just the bulb?
Vito, can you verify this?

The HID kit comes with the bulb in a sealed "capsule" which is a plug n play for you stock headlight housing. The kit comes with everything you need to install them on a stock setup
Stocker thanks for the pictures and I'm glad you enjoy them!!!

Yeah for a Camaro maybe but not a TransAm. For the TA's you still need to buy a housing that has a replaceable bulb. Like a Hella or EuroLamp conversion headlight. Or you could gut the stock housings because the stock TA headlights are a sealed beam headlight, which means the bulb is the entire headlight housing.
Unless you can prove me wrong, I just don't see how this kit can be plug and play for TA's with the stock headlights??

You are 110% correct We were under the assumption from the manufacturer that these kits worked with 98-02 Trans am/Formula headlights. The thread has been updated and a few credits have already been made to customers who purchased this kit for their Firebird. I apologize for the confusion and thank you for pointing this out
just intalled my HIDs!!! Had some trouble at first but the guys here on LS1tech steered me in the right direction. Took all of 10mins to install, just had to reverse the plug on the ballast. They look great I'll get some pix up later.
would love to see some pics of 93-97 with this kit??? also.this comes with the glass lamps with the hid bulb in it already so i dont have to silicone the bulb in the houseing my self.. very intrested in this can some post a pic of how blue the bulbs look.. i think itll make the car pop.. where are you guys mounting the balasts???? pics.???
