Ok, I've got my Kenwood 6140, working on the install, which is all pretty straight forward - but I have a question -
Where are you guys putting your GPS Antennae? I know that I can put it ON the dash, but I'd rather hide it if possible, but I fear I may have to pull the whole dash out to do anything more creative.
UPDATE- due to a total lack of interest in tearing the dash apart, I ended up tucking the antennae on the provided metal plate and slipped the whole thing in the headliner between T-Tops (I was running the wire for the microphone up there anyways) and it works perfectly, full bars all the time.
Just for clarification... there is no "tearing apart the dash" necessary. Simply remove the two A pillar trim pieces (two screws each) and then pop up the upper dash panel (held in place by Velcro and clips) - maybe 15 minutes total if you take your time and have a beer while doing it.
Glad you found an alternate antenna location that works.

Good ideas, I should move mine which is currently on my dash.
OP, any pics of your new setup? I'm thinking of going with the dnx5140, would love to hear/see any tips. Did you incorporate the steering wheel controls too?
