What was the problem on the big vacuum leak on your manifold? A shop did a "smoke test" and they said I have a leak around the back of the intake

4 small cracks in the bottom of the FAST. The former owner tightened the bolts down too hard when installing it and made the cracks. MY car was tuned with them there, which would explain my wierd idle and the car surging and being un predictable. My tuner suspected a vaccum leak from the beginning but we never could find it. Then the other night my car decided to idle at 4k rpm's . I went to work with carb cleaner and discovered that it was comming from the intake. My first thought was the O rings, but upon taking it off, there was a crack the entire width of the manifold The 2 small cracks decided to connect themselves. I took the manifold to my friend's speed shop and he fixed the thing for me in about 2 hours or so. The car runs and idles a lot better now, i am just waiting for a re tune, hopefully later tonight.

Nice video...you and the Cobra was avery close race....depending on the weather might have also been the reason for the Cobra pulling so hard up top.....cuz these cars pick up big time in cold weather. BTW- I love your car!

im getting retuned tonight so rematches soon. I am also going to the track eiether sat or sunday shooting for 11's. My last trips there were with the bad vac leak (i was unaware) and crappy short times in 75+ degree weather. Best i could muster was 12.02 @ 118.5 . Hopefully, with the car running top notch, retuned and weather in the 50's i can FINALLY hit my 11 sec time.

What did you run the skittle from? That damn superchager creaps on the top end. I want to see the T/A from a 60 roll with skittle. That would be better run between you to. If you know him.
