| Mach 1 takes out LS1 Well was driving the g/f's bolt on Mach and we came across a LS1 Z28 with exhaust and who knows what else. He was sitting all alone at the redlight so I rolled up next to him and give it a rev. He revs back and we wait for the green. I see the yellow light in the other lane so I bring the revs up and when it goes green I launch decent but he didn't go. We are going around 40-50mph and he comes along side me and jumps. So the big baby wanted his race. So I gave it to him. I was in 3rd gear at about 4,000rpms and we take off. Her car was a slug at that low of rpms but it was enough to keep along side of him. We took it up to about 135mph in 4th gear she said and I had about half a carlength on him. Had I been at a better rpm or from a dead stop it would have been a carlength or a few. Her car has O/R H pipe, MGW shifter, MAC catback, and JLT RAI. Her car needs gears and a tune!!!!!

| So just a couple of bolt-ons on a mach 1 will outrun an ls1 with the same mods? Or maybe you had more mods than him. I know that stock for stock the ls1 should be faster, but good kill anyway.

Mach 1's with an automatic trans though.
Good kill on the LS1.

| I'd have loved it if he ran me from the redlight or from a high 2nd gear roll. Wouldn't have been much of a contest. His car sounded decent tho. Funny thing is not 10 minutes before we were cruising around in my Cobra. We ran up on a group of 3 03-04 Cobra verts with a bunch of kids driving but none of them wanted any. Still when I left I showed them my lack of traction through 3rd gear with my 17" wheels on and the drag radials. Later I heated them up though because the g/f wanted to see what my car had and I punched it from a 2nd gear roll. Sombitch rolls OUT! I had forgotten what power felt like. She admitted that my car scared her and made her Mach feel slow. Now she wants a whipple or a 100 shot but doesn't like the idea of nitrous she says.
