Default A Dumdum vs GT500

This was a little while back but defiently something that caught my eye.

I was coming home from a ex girlfriends house and i see this beautiful GT500 in front of me but due to being tired and dark outside i decided to leave it be.

Then all the sudden from my rear view i see this blue dumdum coming up behind me. I think well, maybe someone is telling me i need to race.

Sure enough i look over as he passes me waiting to giv a little rolling ref and smile but dude keeps going and completely ignores me....wtf!

So now im angry, i drop a gear and persue what i call the "im going to piss you off until you race me" mode, and start catching up.

He continues to get right beside the GT500 and revs.

Now this made me laugh, so i have effectively went back from angry to happy.

The GT500 revs back, hmm. They catch and stop light and completely stop.
I come up behind them, i give a little rev to see if i cant catch someones attention...they ignore me...assholes. I momentarily have a reflection of me getting out a kicking the shit out of both their doors yelling "when i wanna race you race me", it passes.

Right before the light turned green the dumdum starts revving and so does the GT500 seconds after.

The light hits and the srt skooters off, with the slow reaction timed mustang behind it.

Now i was thinking their for a moment...wait til the mustang passes.

The got up to about 60...all i hear is whaasssssssppp..fff.whassssp. And that little fucker pulled 2 cars on the guy before 80, and what looked like around 4-5 cars to around 110-120ish.

Like wow, the GT500 are supposed to have what around 400-500 horsepower and this dumdum just lubed up and straight raped buddy.

Sad part is the damn GT500 was moving out pretty quick to. Very impressive stuff for a dumdum.

*i know it was modded but that aint bad for a 4 banger

Yeah them gt500s have plenty of power, but they weigh almost 2 tons. I have read stock 1/4 ets are somewhere around 12.8. Those little srt4s can freaking move if you spend the money.

Very true. Fwd sucks from a dig. Those cars are light and can have a bunch of power if done right. Mine has around 360whp/400wtq and only weighs 2860lbs (3050lbs race weight). Best ET is only 12.9 (2.1 60ft) though and best mph is 117. ^^^That one in the story must have been big turbo...

Nice kill for the Skittle. GT500s are ~440rwhp and weigh 3900-4300 #'s pending options etc. ETs for them are all over the place. I guess people have a hard time launching those things. They are good for low 12s with the right driver. Sounds like it would have been a 'decent' race if the stang launched well, but would have lost still most likely.

How do you think you would have paired up and did you try to stay with them?

Honestly i think the reason that they ignored me was because they knew i couldnt size up. My car is mostly stock looking except for no noticable muffler. And it sorta loud.

My car with the right tires would probably churn mid 12's so maybe i could have gave them a decent run but im thinking that was a 11's low 12's neon, and most likely a stock GT500.

I maybe could have stuck with the GT500, not the neon though.
