Default First race w/ th400 vs S/C 99 Cobra

Well it was a nice day out in seattle, and i was on my way back from the shooting range and im just cruising on I5 south about 50-55 mph (heavy traffic). I was next to the carpool lane when i look in my rear view and see a nice looking mustang come up besides me..Turns out its a Cobra with a cowl hood (pre terminator). The passenger rolls his window down and was like "lets race" and i kinda shook my head no cause, it was obvious we couldnt race. We kinda goose the throttle a bit and to my suprise i hear a blower. So anyways, his lanes moving and im caught in traffic. Few minutes later i make a few lang changes and what do you know? im right besides him once again! I get up next to him, we probably slow down to 45-50 mph and we agree to punch it.. we had some room, so i dropped it into second and right when i get back on the gas hes on it, so WOT it is and right when i shift into third i was already walking him
We pulled up aside eachother and his passenger pointed at my car and asked super charged? i shook my head no, and i tried to tell him i had a 3 speed but he didnt understand me.. i pointed to his car and he yelled over super charged. i then noticed his dual a-piller gauges as well.
We went two times from about 50 mph or so and the results were the same, id instantly pull a few car lenghts. FINALLY gotta feel what the th400 is about on the highway.

yeah it probably has. But with a 3500+ stall and 3.42 gears i get a pretty good hit, and he definitly had no time to reel me in

SOunds about right. YOu have better gearing and both have similar power numbers..you get the jump and he cant' reel you in.

Nice kill.

Cowl hoods on N/A cobra's and 99-04 GT's look nice IMO.

What are your RPM's like on the Highway with the TH400? Just wondering, Im thinkin about going to a TH400 but still wanna hit atleast 120mph if i need to. My T56 I can get to 120 fairly easy and not push it too high on RPM's, ima be using my 3.42's
